Keynote going to be kicking off soon; https://developers.google.com/events/io/[^] Wonder what delights they are going to share. Wonder what the attendees will be getting this year? It was chromebooks last year if I recall. Maybe a Google Tablet this year.

I actually had an opportunity to go to a remote viewing of the event at Google's office in Boulder, CO, I just didn't want to take the time off (also, I try to avoid Boulder).

My guess is they are going to announce a partnership with Microsoft to replace Bing search with Google search in all Microsoft devices and OS's going forward...and then I wake up.

So I've got the CC running on the bottom because the internet connection here can be laggy...but it just made a mistake that cracked me up:

Well, I'm glad that they've been working on something useful. Although, as a married bloke, it obviously has no practical application for me.

$199 For Nexus 7 tablet - seems no brainer for me to get it. Cheap and powerful! It may well become iPad killer in number of devices sold (not the profit).

The tablet market is getting to be pretty crowded. My guess is that the winner will be the one that provides a cheap, open source solution, all the others will go byebye. $199 is a lot to pay for something that is just going to cost a lot more for content.

It used to... when it was Boulder Colorado... but Boulder, California... not so much.
