Hey I looked for an appropriate forum for this but I did not find any. But anyways, Windows 7 keeps exiting out of full screen for no apparent reason when I am playing a game or watching a movie in full screen, my machine is fully protected by an up to date Kaspersky 2012(or so I think). Does anyone have a solution for that?and does anyone experience the same issue with windows 7?

Bad title. I'd be willing to bet pretty much anything it has more than a bug.

Then why this one? Seems high on the list of not appropriate forums on this site. Might be seen as a 1 magnet.

At least you did not say for no reason. Might save you from a 1 from me.

I'm pretty sure it's safe to answer Yes. Wrong forum. Maybe wrong site, but definitely wrong forum. :)

I did a bit of research on the matter, some recommended turning off the anti-virus while playing a game in full screen, but that does not seem to eliminate the problem.

My apologies, I typed "anything wrong," rather than "nothing wrong," in my comment on your posting your question here. I plead lack of morning caffeine here at GMT +7. Message corrected. best, Bill

I mean when you are playing a game or watching a movie in full screen windows will exit the full screen and the program starts running in window mode. The problem is that this occurs randomly while one is enjoying a game in full screen. :)

in my experience, that means some application is trying to do a notification. it was an HP printer driver, last time it happened to me. i had to disable... something. it could be anything, though.

Thanks, I will try to disable some background programs one at a time (painstakingly) and see the culprit program. The thing is that there is even no pop up notifications from any program after the full screen exits automatically.

If this happen, it is surely not the fault of Windows 7 but something running on your computer that cause that. You should disable almost any program (for example using msconfig) and then try again.

Definitely right forum. It's not a programming question, and it is a technical discussion. It also reaches a larger audience than any other forum available. The SysAdmin Forum might be marginally appropriate, but it's unlikely to generate any meaningful help.

Thanks for that, at least the event viewer will help me catch the culprit program.

Reading my post again, it probably didn't come out as I meant it, which was as a (bad) joke. Cheers!
