SharePoint 2007 in a sub site if i using a Publishing PageLayout to create a new page that throws error :"The file or folder name contains characters that are not permitted. Please use a different name "

In MOOS 2007 aspx pages works only on detach from page layout otherwise it's throws error:"The file or folder name contains characters that are not permitted. Please use a different name." And if i click any Existing pages from the Web Application Sub Sites that also will throw the above error. :omg:

Check if you have proper master page references.
