I also recall at some stage, I think a year or so later, I got a ZX spectrum or 80 (the small one). It was highly entertaining when I manage to change the text from 'STOP THE TAPE' to STOP THE SHlT' to display on the TV. Provided endless laughs for me and my sister till we somehow broke it 2 months later. Needless to say, my dad did not think it was good thing for us to touch computing devices. Then many years later after university, I rediscovered my lost love :)

Fortran on a Prime computer. That lead to assembler on Motorola 68010.

I was talking to my dad not too long ago and he still has a Vic 20 that he used to pull pictures from his ham radio that were transmitted by Voyager as it passed by Saturn, I think. Might be Jupiter.

On the C64, I had basic, but then had to write some routines in pure machine code because I did not have a compiler. Then I bought C++ for it.

I used Basic on a printer terminal which needed number, and FORTRAN IV with punch cards. They were a real pain. Extensively used Assembly language on a computer called Sigma 9, which had an instruction set similar to the IBM 360. Then FORTRAN 77.
