            I wrote Pooperpig for the BBC Micro in about 1982 - still downloadable and playable on the bbc emulators! So that gets my vote. Otherwise it would be Elite for the BBC. If its really a PC game then the earliest I recall was Nightmare on Elm Street

              Battle Chess[^]. It won't let you do illegal moves so I taught myself to play when I was 3 (I'm no good these days though)

                    Impossible Mission[^] on the C64. Took about 20 minutes to load via the cassette tape drive. Never did get it out.
