I've always been disturbed by people who act like task Masters in the name of Managers. They know nothing about how things work . But sit at the center on a conference call , scrolling up and down the reports sheet reading the project status. If the client say, "What! it's not done yet?" His reaction on us would be "You have to do it today somehow, I don't care what problem is that" - This is a reaction from a genuine dumb Indian manager who might have entered into IT industry decades back, and by time, just with VB & Foxpro, he becomes a manager having 20 years of experiences. And the company says , they are "Managers" they need not know any technical stuff. I'd really hate to work under such dummy managers. Which doesn't mean I'm going to google over him for every issue in the project. When I "report" to someone, I always felt they should be technically qualified. I have even reported to Electronics/Mechanical Managers, who were qualified in their work. I respected them. But the "reporters" bloody I showed no respect. Read this[^]

Starting to think people post kid pics in their profiles because that was the last time they were cute - Jeremy.

That is true, unfortunately Management is also a skill that takes years to learn, and too many of them just go to ManagementProject and say "plzz sir I need project plan, urgntz".

One of these days I'm going to think of a really clever signature.
