"I think London will reset the dial for Games to come." What, that's like blue-screening, isn't it?

"I think London will reset the dial for Games to come" With all these organization problems and cheatery ?! I think these are the worst games I've seen in a while.
It is a sad reflection that your post has been downvoted without comment. I haven't really been following the olympics, but it does seem the commercial side has become far too important/powerful & there does seem to have been less sportsmanship than I remember in the past.

 What organisations problems ? from what I can see and hear (from Canada), everything is going smoothly; no traffic jams, no delayed events, no "over-the-top" policing, no manifestations or demonstrations to speak of; they even complain that there are not enough people in London and some business are loosing a bit of money compared to what they are used to in the summer. Cheatery, yes, there was a little bit cheating (badminton, for example), but they were all dealt with promptly and swiftly.

Huge traffic jams when the components arrived in London, up to 3h late (for a 1h trip) with competition on following day. Huge problems in tickets selling/reservations so that people who wanted tickets could not get hold of them whereas huge amounts of ticket were reserved for nobody to come, hence the army had to sent men to watch the events so that the stadiums do not look so empty. In team sports, some teams had to move almost every other day to play on another field ( France : feminine soccer team). Money spent to build the stadiums : about 4 times what was budgeted !

Track cycling racist falls on purpose so that he can have another start -> nothing done. GB rowing team making up some fantasy story about a seat having a problem so that they can have another start -> nothing done. Jury deciding against victory of two French boxers although they had clearly won -> nothing done That other guy refusing to run on the 800m race, nothing done because he provided a "proof" that he was injured, and then winning the 1500m two days after that -> nothing done French wrestler wins his match, confirmed by jury, check on video after opponent complaint, reconfirmed by video jury, opponent complains again, French is eliminated -> nothing done. Spain basketball team leads against Bresil, and "all of a sudden" looses 16-30 in the 4th part so that they loose the match and do not have to play against the US Dream Team 2 -> nothing done. Should I go on ?

(sport section) haven't heard about those; only the badminton was reported, and maybe the cyclist (I have to check). They have to change some of the rules for competition to have direct eliminations instead of having a pools, so that they have to win all their matchs to win (badminton, basketball, ... ) so that if two teams from the same country meet in quarters, they have to have one beat the other. (and have random selection at the beginning of the tournaments). Boxing is weird, I can't judge how well a bloke hits another bloke. (organisation) I happened and will happen in all olympics, empty seats, traffic, cost explosion... but in general, nothing MAJOR happened yet in those olympics.
