"It will be with you first thing Thursday morning", I was assured. I get home this evening to find this[^] sitting on my drive with a surly delivery driver (in my view the best type of delivery driver). He said we was in the area and hoped I could take it. I did. It is a nice piece, late Victorian mahogany dresser/linen cabinet, about 1890's, and a snip at £120! (Worth way more than that, but the lady in the charity shop doesn't need to know that). So much more quality than the chipboard Ikea crap that people seem intent on buying.

--------------------------------- I will never again mention that I was the poster of the One Millionth Lounge Post, nor that it was complete drivel. Dalek Dave CCC Link[^]

I actually like that dresser, a lot. Not so hot on the floors though.

Pretty good if the people I know are any indication. Think about it, if you've seen code written by other people, especially in a professional environment, how much would you trust something running on such code?

I was going to tell him to get with the times[^]. (Note the statement on the page: "Some people were able to mimic the sound of the tone ringer by simultaneously whistling and wobbling their lips... a vulgar habit which should be frowned upon." Where did those days go?)

Well, apart from its having been made from vastly superior materials, you can also relish the fact that the drawers will slide in and out nicely for longer than six months. Pieces like that become members of the family, quietly watching generations pass. Similar pieces from Ikea soon become landfill.
