This site has a lot of self-esteem issues when it comes to points. :)

Well, having known him for 12 years now, I believe I can say with some certainty that if there's any sock-puppetry going on, it's not from CG. If non-answer responses/comments are being voted up, it's possible that people are doing it because they are obsessed with seeing him climb high reputation-wise (but that's not his fault). And the same sort of voting-up of non-answers happens with other members like Griff and SA, so it's not just CG.

Either way, I smell conspiracy. :)

ROTFL - you sure do collect conspiracy theories :-) I'll admit, a lot of my answers are not terribly deep. That's because they are to questions that are not real questions, I try to answer as much as is possible. I hope you're just kidding around, in light of our previous discussions, but if you're not, you should look at places where people ask real questions, or ask stupid ones and then go on to pursue my answer, I really answer a lot looking for the one or two who really want to learn, and then I'll happily use the question as a forum for days to provide in depth help, which I doubt helps my 'score' terribly much at all. I had no idea I was #1 again, nor have I ever cared so much. It's not like my achievements in this field are so narrow that being top poster on CP is the only thing on my resume. I HAVE been a member for a long time and I have a soft spot for the place, so when I feel like answering some questions, this is the only place I'll do it, esp as I know that no matter how much I help people, I've been black balled from even being an MVP again. To be honest, my main goal is to find people learning MVC, and through answering them, widen my experience with it from the things I've done in my own project.

ROTFL - are all your discussions like this ? Given that I don't really care, and I'm not setting out to achieve anything ( apart from helping people who want to be helped ), I'm not upset, I'm just toying with you, just like I did when we discussed vaccinations. I did find one question where you'd said I'd given a wrong answer, and I'm interested in your reply on that, I'd love to know how HTML can be used to send an upload in multi part form and show a progress bar. I downloaded that dll you linked to, and I'll try to find time to look at that, too. If I was wrong, I'd love to know about it, so I can be right. That's how science works, you see, when you're wrong, you admit it and seek to correct yourself, based on evidence.

*grin* well, my wife's aunt died and I am travelling soon, so I've not been answering for a few days. I'm not sure why my score is so high, I don't really spend a lot of time answering, maybe an hour a day, through the day ?

Well, FYI, you use emoticons when you're joking. Even then, I assumed you were, but felt I needed to say something all the same, just to be clear. Then I was just amused, given our past discussion and your lack of understanding of the way science works. I just couldn't resist a dig, sorry.

I took a scientific approach. I assumed you were serious when you said the same things over and over and I made a judgement based on the evidence I was given.
