I was trying to upgrade my machine to Windows 8. The third step gave this screen: Choose.png (41.7 KB) That ended it right there. I have to use a spare laptop now.

There is no question mark after the Question. and there is no option to answer the question. I think this is just plain threat from Microsoft to your Data. OT: My Windows 7 Desktop with new SSD is acting odd, everytime I shut it down, it corrupts some data/files. I have reinstalled windows 2 times and upgraded BIOS/Drivers, but still same thing. So I am planning to install Windows 8 Today, just to see how it is... and it will be funny when this screen appears. :-D

That would be because it is an instruction, not a question.

There is an option to respond - admittedly providing very little choice!

The funny thing is to consider the converse of such a notion. Upgrading to Win8 is comparable to death-- no one knows what comes next, but all you have previously worked for is lost in the transition.

Yea I wish. If it did, you could delay indefinitely by refusing to choose.
