Ok so I've got to go back to Australia in a few weeks time, this time I'd rather not be shot or bombed by warring bikey gangs so I'm avoiding Bankstown/Milperra. The next nearest town with hotels seems to be Paramatta, any thoughts?...

I think you'll be closer to me for drinking but other than that it's not looking like a good idea. How are you getting to and from the hotel and work? Public transport is a no go and taxi's are going to cost you a testicle or two. Where's the exact address of where you are working? I'll have a bit of a look for you and se if there is anywhere that's not too far to travel and won't get you shot.

I'll be next door to Bankstown 'Airport' hence the need to be in that area, I'll also have a hire car so a bit of driving won't matter. I'm guessing if I look west for a hotel I'll get the commuter traffic in and out of Sydney which is why I was looking further north. The other option is in/around Sydney airport, I should be going in the opposite direction to the bulk of the commuter traffic then...
