Ok, so I've been working out since Feb and getting into MMA. I was 260lbs when this all started, I'm 172lbs now , and I had expected it to take a while for my self image to catch up. The last picture that was taken of me that I know if is on my phone and it was when I was 205lbs. My brother and sister talked me into flexing and posing for a picture last night when we were all sending our pics to an old friend to catch up. I didn't realize what I looked like, heh. Now I'm glad I participated :D

Congrats on that accomplishment and going into MMA. I once saw a cool set of pictures from somebody who did something similar, but they took the same picture of themself every week for about 70 weeks. During this time they lost about 125 pounds and were down to around 175. The animation of the set of photos was pretty cool to watch. :)

:omg: That's about 3 pounds lost a week! :wtf: I'm losing, maybe, 1 pound a week. But then, I'm not getting into MMA. Congrats on stupidly impressive progress!

Thank you :D 1 lb a week is no bad at all. Keep it up, and good luck with whatever your goal is.

Was this all from working out in an MMA gym or something? I assume a diet was involved. You must share your secret with us! :-D

Yes, I diet on a calories in calories out diet. I tried a couple other things , like a protein/meat based diet etc, but I prefer just keeping track of calories and eating what I want. So my diet is just a calorie journal, I don't worry about too many carbs, etc (just make sure nothing is too low). I cheat for supper on friday. I usually have a cheese burger and 2 beers, with the occassional order of chicken wings. Saturday is not counted at all, and I allow myself ot have whatever without health regard. Like pizza, or chips, etc. I end up having between 3 and 5 thousand calories usually on a saturday. I eat maintinenec calories on sunday, then it's back to dieting for the week. You do this for a couple of reasons, 1) it's easier to diet when you get to cheat now and again, 2) If you just keep restricted diet then you're body will get more effecient and work against you (like lowering your metabolism, etc). I also work out 2hrs a day at least 5 days a week. 1 hour of HIIT training, which I highly recommend, and 1 hour of MMA/BJJ. When I hit a plateau I started eating more, and running in the mornings on top of my regular workout. I think that is about it. Other than that I walk for 20 minutes after lunch no matter what. It is something I picked up from my wife's diabetes classes. I always at least walk around a couple of blocks. I also get out of my seat once per hour. It may be to refill my drink or go to the bathroom, but I don't think it's good for your body to sit still all day long. Just hard work :D

I'll have to scan in some of the pictures I have. I do have some of the old me, and a couple on the way to the new me. I'll see what I can come up with.

There is a better way to lose weight quickly: Move your head to the left, and then to the right; keep repeating this whenever you're offered food. :-)
