Hi everybody, I just got an email yesterday from amazon saying if i install there new amazon app they giving away a free paid app everyday (that made me suspicious) so after i opend the email (on the pc with avg giving no warning) i read the instructions how they want me to install their app on android, You have to download the app from a link, and activate the "allow unknown Sources" option as well, after that login with your amazon account... Now that seems to be obviously a scam try to get amazon accounts right? Nice try though....didn't fall for it Anybody else got a similar email?

Hmm i wonder why its doing that......ARGHS NO STOP, ROLLBACK ROLLBACK...F*** That's how i learned to "Always Backup"!!

I did not got such an email. I never got any emails from Amazon that where not related to an order. But the story is true. Amazon just started their app shop in some European countries, there is one free app per day, it must be downloaded and installed with unknown source enabled. So check the headers of the email and the contained links to verify if it is scam or not.

Amazon has had this here in the US for a while. You have to turn on 'Allow Unknown Sources' because it is off market, it keeps track of the updates instead of Google Play, etc. They give away an app a day, most of the time it is worthless or worse a $0.99 app that is free for a day with In App Purchases, but I have gotten a couple of useful ones. Check the header, etc etc, if you don't trust the email, just go to Amazon's site and see if you can snag their market there. That is what I did.
