I am hearing the 'T' words again, specially on CNN. How can someone even THINK of this being terrorism. It is so damn bloodly clear that this can't be terrorism.:mad::mad: Damn Racist Media!

Yep, Sky News has a huge red banner across the bottom of the screen saying "No link to terrorism..." what sick minds we humans have - why would there be a link to terrorism?! :(

It's not all humans. It's just the western media that is like this since it is controlled by people who hate a particular culture/religion. You might be thinking that I believe in a conspiracy theory or something but it is true. The media is highly bias and only shows one side of the story when it comes to worldy affairs, specially CNN. The only way you can check out what's REALLY happening is turning into alternate sources. Japanese news?!?

I've been wathching for more than an hour now and haven't heard terrorism mentioned once except to say that the FBI had ruled it out immediately. That seems harmless enough. The problem is also that there are enough stupid people out there who will start running around thinking it is terrorism. So IMHO, it is best to just shut that down now. I just wish the statements were a bit stronger. Tim Smith I'm going to patent thought. I have yet to see any prior art.

The media are all fighting for market share - that's where the advertising $$ are made - and use sensationalism to get viewers to stop clicking the channel selector and watch for a while. Terrorism is currently very much on the minds of people, and just the mention of the possibility, however unlikely, is going to make a few viewers tune in for a few minutes. It's disgusting, but it's based on sound research in human behavior and is known to work. CNN is a top service precisely because they employ such a sensationalist style, they're very good at it, and it works. Very sad... but not racist. I never said it did. The only thing the bugs me is people lieing about that sort of thing in order to turn a tragedy like this into yet another excuse to establish their victemhood at the hands of some aspect of U.S. culture. BTW, I finally heard someone ask about terrorism. It was Peter Jennings of ABC. Damned racist Canadians! X| "Any clod can have the facts, but having opinions is an art." Dude, I know the people don't think like that. The people think different. The media doesn't represent the general public, which is exacly opposite to it's purpose. It represents the interests of the US government. My point here is that by showing stuff like that, the people will start believing in to the non-sense they are trying to sell. News is a public service, not a product, thus shalt not be sold but should be done for the public. These days, it's for money. That is why news isn't good anymore.

I heard a figure of 20 something. Supposedly it was designed for 100. I also heard a flight engineer say that ice hits the wings on virtually every flight, so they are dismissive of that as a cause right now. I think the fact that we had an Israeli on board (the first). There was enhanced security from the beginning because of this. However, it's all a bunch of crap. We shouldn't jump to conclusions and simply show love and support for the families that lost today. They'll figure out what happened in time.

They carefully reset the machines to the lowest settings, offer to spot for each other on the 5 lb dumbells, and rediscover the art of macrame while attempting to jump rope. -Roger Wright on my colleagues and I going to gym each day at lunch

Ok, this whole space thing. What exactly happened again? I wanna know it all from the very beginning. I tried to read/watch news and it is already assuming that we know what happened. Thanks. :)

The shuttle was at an altitude of about 203,000 feet over north-central Texas at 9 a.m., traveling at 12,500 mph, when Mission Control lost all contact and tracking data. There have been 113 shuttle missions, 28 carried out by Columbia I hope they didn't know what happened to them :(( The tigress is here :-D
