It's not all humans. It's just the western media that is like this since it is controlled by people who hate a particular culture/religion. You might be thinking that I believe in a conspiracy theory or something but it is true. The media is highly bias and only shows one side of the story when it comes to worldy affairs, specially CNN. The only way you can check out what's REALLY happening is turning into alternate sources. Japanese news?!?

CNN hating a particular religion?? Quite the opposite: where would CNN be if there were no Middle East problems? They'd be forced to run headlines on starvation and dictatorships in Africa, or disasters in the Amazon or the reliance on fossil fuels and it's effect on the Global Climate. Then no one would ever watch them. Hmmm - too much cynicism with my pasta last night :~ cheers, Chris Maunder

I've had CNN on for two hours now. The word terrorism was utterd once in that time and that was to say that it was not suspected. "Any clod can have the facts, but having opinions is an art." Charles McCabe, San Francisco Chronicle

Dude, I know the people don't think like that. The people think different. The media doesn't represent the general public, which is exacly opposite to it's purpose. It represents the interests of the US government. My point here is that by showing stuff like that, the people will start believing in to the non-sense they are trying to sell. News is a public service, not a product, thus shalt not be sold but should be done for the public. These days, it's for money. That is why news isn't good anymore.

Virtually all of the major news outlets are liberal and slant the presentation with that bias. That goes for CBS, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, and CNN (founded by Ted Turner, the ultimate liberal, once married to Hanoi Jane). CNN is so liberal (I stopped watching it more than a year ago) that they referred to the 9-11 idiots as "alleged terrorists". In Israel, I've been told, a very popular bumper sticker says simply, "CNN lies". The print media, led by the New York Times is also liberal. Most USA newspapers simply reprint what the NYT prints. USA Today is a cartoon version of the NYT. The news feeds are the same. Reuters also referes to "alleged terrorists". Don't believe it? Read either or both, "Bias" and "Slander". Mike

This is horrible. I live in the Dallas area. I was outside this morning taking my dogs for a run when we heard the "boom." Apparently Coluimba was traveling at near MACH 17 when whatever took place. What Would Uncle Steve Do?. -Michael Martin

I am hearing the 'T' words again, specially on CNN. How can someone even THINK of this being terrorism. It is so damn bloodly clear that this can't be terrorism. Answer: timing. There are plenty of terrorists right now who want to hurt the US. Given the fact that the Shuttle blew up 40 miles above the earth (well outside the range of any missles), this seems unlikely. If the Shuttle was only a mile or so from landing, I'd immediately think "shoulder fired missles" - like the ones fired at an Israeli civilian plane a few months ago, and the ones fired at US military aircraft in Saudi Arabia. I think the "terrorism" question is an obvious question to ask. Damn Racist Media! This is racist how, exactly? Are you saying that if the media says "terrorism" that what they're really saying is "all Arabs are evil?" Of course not. You're just reading into it. ------------------------------------------ "Isn't it funny how people say they'll never grow up to be their parents, then one day they look in the mirror and they're moving aircraft carriers into the Gulf region?" - The Onion

its a well known media trick ... mention something terrible and sad and mention another thing in the same sentence (like "shuttle breaks up all killed ... terrorism not involved") and it links the 2 items in ppls minds its a dirty technique and i think it stinks

It's an obvious question to ask in this case. You don't think OBL would love to blow up the Shuttle? When I first heard that the Shuttle blew up I immediately thought about the shoulder-fired missles that were fired at the Israeli civilian plane a few months ago and the US military jets in Saudi Arabia. Hell, why NOT use them against the Shuttle. In this case, the Shuttle was well outside the range of any missle (especially shoulder-fired missles) so the facts don't fit that idea. But, if all you know is "Shuttle Blew up while coming for a landing", then "was it terrorism?" is an obvious question. ------------------------------------------ "Isn't it funny how people say they'll never grow up to be their parents, then one day they look in the mirror and they're moving aircraft carriers into the Gulf region?" - The Onion

Again, you assume that if someone says the word "terrorism" that the US is saying "all Arabs suck". There are plenty of people that are happy about this. Have you even looked at the Iraqi response? They're praising it as "god's retribution on America". You don't think that extremist terrorists love this? What YOU need to do is stop reading into the Western media to confirm your own fears. You also need to realize that when the US considers the possiblity of terrorism, it isn't saying "All Arabs suck!" There really are some very bad extremist Arabs. Deal with that fact. When the US says this, it's a statement of fact - not a statement about all Arabs. ------------------------------------------ "Isn't it funny how people say they'll never grow up to be their parents, then one day they look in the mirror and they're moving aircraft carriers into the Gulf region?" - The Onion
