Simple Form to Email U.S. Elected Officials

Thanks for the link. I'm content for now to wait for whatever revelations are presented to the Security Council on Wednesday. My opinion will be heavily influenced by the presentation, or lack thereof, of solid evidence of a real, tangible threat. If such exists, I will support an attack; if not, I will oppose it. I've been lied to far too often by my own government to accept political hyperbole as evidence - I want to see some facts before I support the decision to commit our troops to battle. But if the facts show that there is a clear and present threat to our country or our allies in the region, support it I will. Nobody wants to read a diary by someone who has not seen the shadow of Bubba on the prison shower wall in front of them!

The UN has already declared that Saddam had the weapons previously. Now they require Saddam to prove that he has destroyed them. The inspectors' job is not to discover where Saddam is hiding things, but to watch Saddam destroy his already known weapons, and to validate the proof of destruction that he supplies. The problem is that Saddam is not providing any such evidence, leaving all of the previously know weapons and labs in a state of assumed existence. Saddam agreed to disarm and to provide proof of his disarmament. It is his job to provide this evidence and he is not doing it. I just thought I'd try to clear up the notion that it is anyone other than Saddam's job to locate these weapons. John :D

Now they require Saddam to prove that he has destroyed them. But the problem remains - is Iraq a real threat, or is it just a noisy little banana republic run by a psycho with a big mouth? Form letters like these are rejected out-of-hand by Senators/Representatives. I wouldn't be suprised if they are filtered. If you write them using you own words, your letter will be read. To do that, go here http://www.senate.gov/[^] or here http://www.house.gov/[^]. Many senators/representatives let you write an email from their web site. I've received responses from mine, so at least the ones from Utah are awake, or at least their secretaries are.:)
