New look

To add to the list: I like: - gin - BACON I don't like: - empty gin bottles - breakfast without BACON UI, shmoo-I - what matters is the UX. I have already used it on my phone and it is much better now. Here the only usability change I have noticed that could be 'adverse' is the loss of the nav bar at the top of a forum with the big 'first' choice [as per DD's complaint].
Panic, Chaos, Destruction. My work here is done. Drink. Get drunk. Fall over - P O'H OK, I will win to day or my name isn't Ethel Crudacre! - DD Ethel Crudacre I cannot live by bread alone. Bacon and ketchup are needed as well. - Trollslayer Have a bit more patience with newbies. Of course some of them act dumb - they're often *students*, for heaven's sake - Terry Pratchett
Thank you for agreeing. So many here are slavishly praising or witheringly detracting. I am merely pointing out that I cannot stand the site as it is and HAVE GIVEN LEGITIMATE REASONS for which I am being downvoted. If my eyes were better and my wrists were stronger it would not be so much of a problem. I am sure it will improve, but until then I am not hurting myself trying to deal with it. Perhaps one day soon there will be a way of reading it in a font that is better, an in a contrast that is not making me squint, on a screen that does not make it look like an Imax cinema, with coloured links and Clicked Link indicators, and where it does not look like every one has been downvoted by default, and where there are navigation buttons in convenient locations. Are these not too much to ask for?

The thing I don't get is the entire CP community has been conditioned over the years that grey = bad. If your stuff turns grey it is cos everyone hates it. Now they've coloured the site grey it's like shouting out "we're shit and we know it". A giant one vote for CP from CP.

I have my browser zoomed to 110% and it makes it easier to read all sites, not just CP. However, on the whole I agree on the 'too bright' but I do like the freshness of it all. Give it a gin or two and the colours [not spelling any Septic readers] will become easier and you'll realise that the hammies have really improved the UX. As Uncle Joe used to say, you have to break a few eggs to make an omelette.

Hello Code Project The new look is suprinsing. I was wondering if I landed on the wrong page for a moment. As everything else, this look has also some part I like and some parts I dislike. What I like: - Looks fresh - Looks lightweight - Moves the articles to the center - The navigation What I don't like: - The articles in the list are not separated very well (divider line, different backgrounds, whatever) - The grey background box is a little bit too shady - The article view does not scale properly on a widescreen with a high resolution (a difficult topic, I know ;) ) - The discussion part on the article page does take too much space between the rows All in all I think it is a good style with some minor stuff that may be optimized in the future. Thanks for the good work and have a nice day :)

I think it looks great! Very clear to read. No unnecessary information, just straight to the point. Like!
