IMHO It looks like Microsoft Style, Windows 8, isn't it? Well done, looks better, new and stylish! :)

FYI, that's precisely the Metro thing everybody keeps talking about.

My tuppence worth. Quite like it (an improvement over the previous version). The fluid layout works really well. However (you all saw that coming), I'd say that the vertical spacing in the messages is slightly too much, IMHO. Good work though!

I'd call it a fail. There is too much whitespace and fewer cues to see how things are separated, 'hot' etc.

I wouldn't call it a complete fail... but having to scroll for the news pretty much sucks

            Extremely well. A big improvement.

Not seen the news over the past few months? Take a look: http://www.geek.com/articles/geek-pick/microsoft-discontinues-use-of-metro-name-2012083/ No-one is allowed to call it "Metro", it's "Windows 8 Style" now. Best explanation I've seen is that Microsoft failed to do a trademark search and another company with the Metro trademark has forced Microsoft to back-track on the name Ed
