For those not wishing to involve the potential existence of a deity when expressing joy that it's Friday (see TGIF[^]), I offer an alternative we now use: GFTIF - interjection (pronounced Gee-Eff-Tiff) GFTIF is an acronym for "Good Freaking***** Thing It's Friday" This friendly interjection is not dependent upon the support or belief in a higher power, nor the need to praise any such deity based upon the day that represents the end a typical work week. It's also annunciation friendly - Gee-Eff-Tiff is one less syllable to utter that Tee-Gee-Eye-Eff. *****Freaking is often substituted with another similar such word, also beginning with an F.

What is wrong with the classic "TFIF" - "Thank Freak It's Friday"? Or "POETS day" - "Push Off Early, Tomorrow's Saturday"? Again, "Freak" and "Push" are frequently replaced with less KSS words.

True, but if you say Tee-Giff like you say Tiff, then TGIF wins again. Don't mess with the classics or DMWTC! :D

Or we could just go with St. George and use HSIOW instead. "Holy ****, It's Only Wednesday"...

The fundamental problem with this is that "Friday" itself is named for a goddess. Depending on the interpretation[^], it is either Frigg or Freyja. So really there is no point in changing the acronym because it still depends on a deity...

Can't think what "Again" is a euphemism for.

One of these days I'm going to think of a really clever signature.
