If he tossed in a little kiss, it might have got him out of a ticket!

I'm driving myself and our designer a little nuts trying to get a neat way of highlighting the current message in forums and so we've gone back to what we had, albeit with a different, and more complimentary colour. Is the text of this message on the selected background easy to read, or us going back to white better for everyone, or (as I'm guessing) somewhere in the middle. A lighter shade, perhaps.

it's good, but it looks a little gay though. (not that I have anything against those people) It's at least better than white.

          Yes, thank you.

Certainly not everyone. Also, as others suggested, the grey text at the bottom is still hard to read. I just noticed the quoted text might be difficult to read as well.

Keep going, happy users makes it worth it! The changes you've made since the release of the new design is really making a difference, atleast for me, it's readable again.

Yes, but it's to peachy, I'd try very light grey and make the quotes white instead. Might turn out well, or not. Can't know until you've tried it.

It looked a bit dull on my lappie (due to the angle of viewing). Viewed on a proper monitor it looks OK (better than the white), but I'd try a shade lighter to increase the contrast with the text a little bit more. Now the tweaks are going in, things are coming together much more nicely IMO.

We'll play around with it some more, and then wait until everyone is comfortable and then change it.
