A man stood by the side of the road hitch hiking on a very dark night in the middle of a storm. The thunder was rolling and no cars passed. The rain was so torrential that he could barely see a few feet ahead. Then suddenly he saw a car come towards him and stop. Instinctively, the man climbed into the car and shut the door, only to realise that there was nobody behind the wheel! The car started slowly. He peered through the windscreen at the road ahead and, to his horror, saw a tight corner. Scared to death, he said a silent prayer. He was still in shock when, a few yards before the corner, a hand appeared through the window and turned the wheel. The man, paralysed with terror, watched how the hand appeared every time he approached a corner. Finally he summoned the strength to escape from the moving car and run to the nearest town. Wet and shaking, he found a bar where he started telling everyone about the terrible experience he had been through. About half an hour later, two men walked into the bar, and one said to the other: "Look, Denzil, that's the guy who climbed into the car while we were pushing it."
