About a month ago I found out that my wife was pregnant and we would have our first child later this year ... ... a week ago, at her first official doctor visit we discovered that there are two little ones in there!!! Twins!!! How wonderful/cool/great/awesome is that!?!?

Otherwise you have to use metaphors and then I just get confused and think you are talking about flower pollenation and not human reproduction.
