I used to watch Naruto, until it started to suck. I used to watch Bleach, but it's on hold. Now I watch nothing. I've also watched: Death Note, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Code Geass (R1, R2, not R3 yet), Hellsing Ultimate, Elfen Lied, and probably more that I've forgotten about. edit: and Fullmetal Alchemist, of course, and Soul Eater. I knew I was forgetting something.

I like programming but when I'm getting bored of making confusing programs I read manga or watch anime. I just want to ask if there's a programmer like me that loves manga and anime... :) :-D

I keep a list[^] of what I've watched (it's mostly complete, but I'm sure I've missed one or two), I have a huge wall scroll of the main characters from Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica on my wall (and I don't care how girly it looks), and I go to both annual anime conventions in Denver every year. So you might say I like anime. Just a little. ;P

Fairy Tale makes for a nice replacement for Bleach. Also, I heard Bleach is OVER, not suspended. Naruto is rather good at the moment - you probably just hit one of the longer fillers. Always make sure you skip past filler episodes[^].

It's better than most of the stuff on TV. I prefer shows that tell a story and then they're done, instead of running themselves into the ground by staying on the air as long as possible.

Yes, or at least I used to be. - Started reading Naruto ever since the beginning (when I was still in highschool) and I'm still reading it right now. - Also read Berserk whenever a new episode comes out. (seinen, dark fantasy) - Used to read was Bakuman, but that ended this year. (shounen, slice of life about manga ~ good manga, but the ending was really lame btw...) Read a lot more in the past, also used watch a lot of anime but I don't do that anymore.

No, not really. A big fan of them tried to convert me once, but accomplished the opposite. I can't tell you what exactly he made me endure. It was about some characters, who for some reason appeared to have been dressed up by the same gay tailor. They obviously were no friends, because they started to snarl at each other in Japanese. After that they began hacking up each other with swords. After the slaughter some female characters appeared, I still had not learned enough Japanese to understand what they were talking about. Must have been something romantic, going by the sickening sweet music. That cycle was repeated several times and then it was finally over. Ahh, and then there was Robotech. I actually could have enjoyed half of it. Exactly that half that was not about any totally irrelevant and sickening sweet romantic stuff. And there was no hacking to pieces. They shot each other to pieces. Still, if I had a choice among all real and fictive vehicles I could put into the garage, A Valkyrie would be high up in the list.

No, but I've seen a shirt like that: "Anime, Drugs Would Be Cheaper" or something to that effect. You really don't need to pay much for anime, as long as you stick to some basic guidelines. Unlike most industries, the anime industry uses pirating to decide if it's worth it to license an anime in other countries, so if you watch it with fan-made subtitles (like I do) you can watch it free without worrying about anyone complaining to your ISP, and the companies making English dubs don't care because it's building a fan base (though, once it's licensed pirating is discouraged). Plus Hulu and Netflix are starting to gather a decent collection. But then the conventions come around and all my money disappears... (I'm guessing this is another reason licensing companies don't fight pirating, they're still making money on merchandise)
