I have one observation that many of the big corporates have addresses like this: 1, Microsoft Way, Redmond 1, Verizon Way, NJ 1, Oracle Way Are they also patenting and/or purchasing additional license for their street addresses from the local civic agencies?

These filings also dedicate the streets to the local government, making them public property to be managed and maintained by the local government. In some areas, they are also allowed to assign address numbers, if there's no overall scheme for addresses imposed by the government.
