Well, bacon is all powerful, all knowing, and creates a sense of well being and enlightenment. I would have to agree. Bacon should always have a checkbox in any survey.

LOL May be, maybe not. I was actually going to see what people consider to be essential to a chili, not just meat (rice/beans/etc.). Furthermore, you have yet to respond to my initial question about what you put in yours. Slacker, you do realize my back and forth with you about chili was tongue-in-cheek.
read my post title. I love meat in my chili. However, vegetarians like chili as well...without meat. Is it "real" chili? Probably not, but I don't care.
