Anyone else evacuating due to Hurricane Sandy? I live on the Jersey shore and we have to be out of here by 4:00 pm.
The difficult we do right away... ...the impossible takes slightly longer.

Hi Pete, I'm in Sea Bright just south of Sandy Hook. Fortunately the internet is still connected here in Freehold.

Been flying around Google maps trying to find the beachfront apartment where I stayed in about 1986. (Might have been demolished years ago, of course.) Probably a couple miles south of you. I do remember one time driving up Ocean Ave where there's nothing on the ocean side except the 12' sea wall, and having a wave break over me. Scared the elephant out of the rental car (and the driver, if the truth be known). Wound up on the wrong side of the road, which was eerily familiar until I remembered I should be on the other side in the US. Hope Freehold is far enough inland! Seem to recall some fairly low-lying areas around there. Good luck with it all, Peter

Can you see it? And does it have a sign on it: "Sponsored by Microsoft"? Given that it is arriving in perfect time to cancel the Google event launching the Nexus 4 (among other things) but not affecting the Windows Phone 8 launch is suspicious... :laugh:
