But it does look like they plan on making episode 7. So they are moving in their own direction with it.

Link? Last I heard George was refusing to consider making any more. Edit: Just looked on the internet. WHAT?!!?! I don't know whether this is good or bad, considering it won't be by by George.

    Quote:

Disney said in a statement that it would revive the “Star Wars” franchise with new feature films, and that Mr. Lucas would serve as creative consultant on them. Star Wars Episode 7 is scheduled to be released in 2015, with more films expected to follow, the company said.

Link is in the OP. Lucas will be a consultant but Disney is the one that will make it as they are buying Lucas out.

Computers have been intelligent for a long time now. It just so happens that the program writers are about as effective as a room full of monkeys trying to crank out a copy of Hamlet.

So, I just ran across this while looking at the news, but apparently Disney is in the process of buying Lucasfilms. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Disney Buying Lucasfilms for $4.05 billion.[^]

Looks like Star Wars is beating out Star Trek. Wonder why?

I was reading that article and had it ready to paste in the Lounge when I saw this thread. I'm glad a repost was avoided and that my clipboard could be recycled into something useful! :)

I love the line from Space Balls where they call the princess a "Drewish Princess".
