We are currently using SharePoint 2007 for our Intranet and would like to ‘Convert’ to SharePoint 2007 Enterprise. I know once this is done, we cannot revert back to standard. Here is my question(s): 1. Do/should I take SharePoint offline? 2. Should I do this in a ‘Test’ environment first? 3. Is this ‘really’ a simple process? Hope someone can help Thanks:confused:

Yes. Put the server down, backup all databases, then start convertion

Normally it should work. If you don't have a test-environment with the same configuration you there is nothing won. If you have a "standard"-sharepoint it should work anyway.

Yes, I think so. Same simplicity like the whole univers. :-\ Well, it depends on the configuration, which extensions (solutions) you have installed and so on. Normally you can even convert SP 2007 to SP 2010 without any problems.
