That's the way I are feeling today. I am continuing to do my re-write and am totally shocked at how stupid I was a decade ago. :-D I am not quite re-writing method-for-method but I am trying to make it work the way. At the bottom of the stack is a worker that has all the business logic in it, all the rest is comms and message relays. Once I get the framework re-write done, half of the workers are going to be calls into the new back-office system which has a shockingly easy [or so it seems] API. We will see, we will see. I could still do with a drink. Coffee did you say? Don't mind if I do.

Panic, Chaos, Destruction. My work here is done. Drink. Get drunk. Fall over - P O'H OK, I will win to day or my name isn't Ethel Crudacre! - DD Ethel Crudacre I cannot live by bread alone. Bacon and ketchup are needed as well. - Trollslayer Have a bit more patience with newbies. Of course some of them act dumb - they're often *students*, for heaven's sake - Terry Pratchett

This is an ongoing process, so at any given point in time you're stupid, you'll just find out about it much later. :-D

Hmm. My antivirus blocked your link due to a high incidence rate of hosting Bad Things.

I just started going through my code base, trying to bone back up on my C++ after years of perl and shell work. I've gotta say, I'm actually startled by both how smart and how stupid I used to be. I've got some clever elegant (and clear!) code in there that I'm not sure I'd have written today. Now, there's far more of the standard window-licker idioms kicking around in there of course. "Opportunities for rework" *ugh*
