I know a method to return voting to the lounge
-
Everyone That want to be voted in the lounge has to have a tech article published in the site and when make a comment or a post put the link to the article and you upvote or downvote the article depending on the post.

To implement this properly you would need to write an article for every post, otherwise you wouldn't be able to tell what post was getting voted on.

And then we have to moderate every single article for 9,478,099 members? Might take a while - the f*$£%! Ultrabook competition entries clogged up the moderation queue and we didn't get a hundredth of the articles!
If you get an email telling you that you can catch Swine Flu from tinned pork then just delete it. It's Spam.

That is what software engineers do, offer alternatives even when there is none ;), its your boss job to decide what to do with them

Um. There are posts by 27 different people on this page alone...(at 50 per page) Each end every one of them would have to have an article approved before they could post.

Really? I always figured my boss's job was not to tell me what to do. His job is to explain to his boss why I went ahead and did the right thing. I don't get paid to follow somebody instructions. I get paid to make it work.
