Everyone seems to be talking about gun control here in the U.S. Which I don't really care about. What I'm wondering is if a country where mass shootings seem to happen daily should posses Weapons of mass destruction ??

We are experienced with death. I should think the daily massacres would enhance our qualifications to manage an arsenal capable of wiping out earth.

I believe ACME deliver, especially if you are a coyote in the middle of the desert.

Yes, but who would want WMD that have a 95% probability to blow in your face the moment you press the Launch button?

I don't think the issue is with ACME's high quality products. Unfortunately, their product ships with some assembly required. Mr. Coyote probably doesn't read the instructions (like everyone else who tries to assemble things).

What is this "Google" of which you speak? Surely you don't mean Googol, because that wouldn't make any sense!

I always assume that the instructions are just an environmentally friendly form of bubble wrap.

Ask in QA - most of them don't appear to have heard of it either... :sigh:

Is it guns or homicide we need to be talking about? South Africa says they don't have WMDs anymore but they do have strict gun laws but their murder rate dwarfs the rate in the US. Maybe we should talk about Russia where the homicide rate is higher than the US and the gun laws extremely strict! I just don't see the correlation.

Considering I found CP through Google while looking for an answer (which may or may not have been 42), it surprises me that people manage to find this place without the ability to search for basic answers. Or at least I wish it surprised me. I suppose 'Class Project! Need code urgentz!' would find this site too...

 I suspect I did as well - I can't remember exactly how I found the site. If the answer you found wasn't 42, it was probably bacon! ;)

The lesson there is what I've always said. Criminals will always be able to find a way to (illegally) acquire guns, while the law-abiding public becomes victims because they are obeying the law by not owning any guns, thus becoming nothing more than targets and victims. Laws that prohibit (or restrict) gun ownership have no effect on the demographic at which they are targeted.

Versus say a country where only the military owns guns and the military is the only ones who go around shooting people? (And if publicized at all it is rationalized in some way.)
