I've just heard back from the interview yesterday and they're offering me a role as a "Senior Implementation Consultant" on lots plus 12% guaranteed bonus plus stock options plus other shyte. This is the top level working on single projects, with the idea in a year I'd move to a multiple project role. I have asked for a contract to read, as one does, and I shall now cogitate the offer. It is in line with [a gnat's tadger more than] what I was earning in the City. But this job is anywhere in Europe; probably UK [brilliant] or Germany. Decisions, decisions.

Panic, Chaos, Destruction. My work here is done. Drink. Get drunk. Fall over - P O'H OK, I will win to day or my name isn't Ethel Crudacre! - DD Ethel Crudacre I cannot live by bread alone. Bacon and ketchup are needed as well. - Trollslayer Have a bit more patience with newbies. Of course some of them act dumb - they're often *students*, for heaven's sake - Terry Pratchett

That was quick! They are clearly keen, so if there are any little perks you want added (like Bupa for the whole family for example) it sounds like a little gentle negotiation should be possible. Well done! And Congratulations! We don't have a Gordons smiley, so:

Now make some outrageous demands so that you have something to negotiate away in exchange for a little more pay. Every Wednesday I need to a wear a swimsuit to the office. On Mondays I require 2 lunch hours, one at 10am and another at 2pm, both paid. etc.

Nagy can't have two lunch hours. By the time he's finished drinking the first one he's hardly capable of getting back to the office!

BUPA is included. TBH I would like a bit more money to make it worth while being away from the family so much.

Well done Nagy. That was a quick answer they gave you. I'm still looking and finding it a bit frustrating dealing with agencies who can't be bothered to phone, email, or text. If you have any good fortune left in your glass I'll happily down the dregs (spittle and all)! :-D Seriously, that's excellent news. +5

I had a job offer today as well. Decision was easy, they wanted to offer me less than what I was earning when I started my current job...8 years ago! :(( Oh well, I starting looking back in December and I've had two offers already. Trouble is I turned down the first because the insurance was crap, it's looking a lot better by comparison now. :sigh:
