Come on, I've never even heard of or seen this programme before now, but it's so obvious this Evan guy will publically announce he is really an emotionaly repressed gay guy with the aid of a centre fold story in the Easter special of "Hello" magazine. And then he'll be a millionaire all right - with change to spare. And then followup rights to an autobiography, exclusive interviews and photoshoots with each of the twenty girls - picture the headlines: "My true story: How he felt me up over a candlit dinner" (only in OK magazine this Saturday) - and a career as a "party object" for socially retarted rich people. FWIW I would castrate the guy with my teeth if I found out he had been lying to me purely to get in my pants (please, throw the love word round as much as you like - why do you think people are watching (or indeed making) this tripe in the first place?) "in the ultimate fantasy setting [he, a builder] will be introduced to women that due to his social standing he would not be able to meet in his everyday life. Among the beautiful, smart and sophisticated women gathered are a doctor, banker and business development executive." That is just plain sick. Talk about selling shit to starving people. I would tell you to boycott it out of principle, but out of principle that is giving it far more than it deserves.

So I just finished watching the Fox TV show Joe Millionaire. I was expecting find out his choice between the last two girls. Of course, they go to 100 commericals during this segement and basically recap all of the previous eposide. And they get to the last 5 minutes of show and they say, "The results of Evan decision will be revealed during a 2-hour presentation next Monday". I had just wasted a hour expecting to watch this guy crash these girls' world. I could of been surfing CodeProject. :mad:
I knew that there were 2 eps left counting tonight, so I didn't expect Evan's pick to be revealed this week, but they could've made tonight's ep even slightly entertaining. Ah well... the final ep should make up for it. I've said from the start that Zora will win, and I still think Evan likes Zora better than Sarah. However, if it were me, I'd give the ring to the girl I didn't want. That does two things, 1 if the winning girl tells me to bugger off, well nothing lost. And 2 it lessens the shock for the other girl (the one I actually like). Do I have to have seen it ? There are a million of these 'reality' shows, and I've seen enough of them to know what they are about. I cannot concieve of a way to make something that is remotely redeeming out of the premise that show is built on. It simply does not exist. Reality TV = TV for morons, for emotional leeches and for people who like the TV to be as mundane and intellectually insipid as their own lives. The fact that people can't even follow a 30 minute plot interspersed with ads anymore sickens me. It's all reality TV, and 'magazine' style shows where you can't tell the show from the ads. I've not watched regular TV for three or four years, excepting a few BBC specials, and I don't ever miss it remotely. If I suggested a show which consisted of a webcam on my toilet, would you refuse to suggest it was not worth watching until you'd seen it ? If you watched it and hated it, would you again refuse to judge a show which consisted of a webcam in my laundry ? Because that's the equivelant of my position, I know how these shows work, I've seen them, and I've heard the premise for this show. That's all I need to know. The only program I watch with any sort of regularity is Eastenders, and that is only because it gives me a half hour break four days a week.
