So one day a kid was bored while being at the local Zoo and kept pestering his Dad to go and play. Eventually his dad agreed, took him over to the lion enclosure, threw him in and said: There ya go, play dead... Bottom line, don't be bored!

And the Romans, Greeks, Indians, Germans, Vikings, Celts, Saxons, Picts, even the Australain Inflection has crept into the usage... just about every country has exported people here, and elements of their language have been absorbed.

There's a word for that: Trolling. It tends to get people banned here.

Nah. I don't think he is trolling. He even told us that he is bored. Okay it is not really polite (yeah the soapbox is overfilled with bad jokes and I won't believe that he already read them all - and so he should've read them first). Everyone can feel free to report his post (if anyone has a certain amount of rep points allowing him to vote) - but they did not. They started telling him jokes. So he is no troll (Or just a bad one).

Err no. You seem to be under the misapprehension that we are your servants. Only my wife and kids get to treat me like I'm a slave.

So true, I believe it is the lot of the loving father to be treated like a slave and yet love their family none the less.

Nope. It's a friendly warning that posting useless messages gets people voted out. We've seen it many times before. I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt about this one, but given yesterdays useless post from this poster it's better to head this behaviour off before he gets a poor reputation. If I really thought he'd been trolling I'd have voted on the post and the account. So far, I haven't. Poor Vasily Tserekh felt the wrath of many people for less, so let's help this poster become a welcome member of the community.

The Danes are descended from Vikings, and the Irish from Celts (as are the Scots and Welsh - there is still a lot of similarity in the three languages)

I think the Fresians would beg to differ and the Irish would probably claim it was the other was around but I get your point; being a mostly Irish slightly Viking Englishman born in a Roman city at the heart of the Fresian empire where ~Celtic Aelfred broke the power of the Danelaw it's easy to get mixed up.
