I just made my first purchase off EBay - a polarizing filter for my camera. :jig: And for only £11,50, not the suggested £35 by Jessops! It's paid for, and in the post already, so with any luck it'll be here before the weekend when sunshine is predicted. Just thought I'd share my joy! :-D

Throw in a bit of S&M or eye-ball sucking**-Paul Watson on the merits of swearing, sex and obscenities in CP posts** ...they assumed that reasonably intelligent adults would know enough to leave the building if it was burning. Those who did not were, presumably, expendable, and there was less paperwork involved than trying to fire them**-Roger Wright on fire drills at work**

WOOWOO, I just made my first purchase on EBay yesterday. I got a set of Titleist 731 PM's, but I like to call'em, "The Mickelsons" :D Anywhoo, I still haven't paid yet as the seller hasn't contacted me (GRRR), but I wanna pay with a credit card. How does that work? I take it I have to give him my card number and stuff? Or should I do it some other way? -Lunchy

I used to take wedding pictures in San Diego California, and let me tell you, a polarized filter made a crummy looking pale sky into a radiant vivid blue one--really gorgeous with green grass, the ocean, a black tuxedo and a white gown. I signed up with PayPal, which is intergrated into EBay. It uses your credit card account, and is free for the buyer, only the seller pays (how much I don't know). Check if they say PayPal is acceptable. Note though that the affect is significantly reduced inland, because the water creates the polarization when the sunlight reflects off of it, or something like that. I've also played with a yellow filter and B&W film. It's supposed to give objects more contrast. Difusers are cool too. I have a difuser which has a hole in the middle, so the center is in focus and the edges get progressively blurrier. Another great one for that "wedding" shot, and you can get some neato effects playing with the f-stop. Have fun! Marc Help! I'm an AI running around in someone's f*cked up universe simulator.
