I've gotten pretty comfortable with my eating habits. I eat every few hours, and eat healthy. I was happy with that, and even had 1 successful bulk cycle. While I was still training at the warhawks gym , I had read about the warrior diet. I thought about trying it, but it went against pretty much everything I had been learning. I thought I'd slowly move back to 3 meals a day and then go for it, but the 3 meals a day was uncomfortable so I just didn't pursue it. I thought it was sort of unproven and not worth it. Everyone in the office has been concentrating on dieting lately. They even started using an app called loseit. One of them is making quite noticeable progress, and getting to his weight goal pretty quickly. Come to find out, he has good things to say about fasting diets. After talking to him I learned hes pretty much on the one I was looking at :D So today was my first day. I am looking for a good way to lose body fat without losing weight, and this seems to be working well enough that I feel comfortable trying it. I felt pretty ill by the time it was feeding time today, and instantly felt great after I started eating. They say use your thirst as an indicator of when to stop eating, but I got full before I got thirsty. I ate fruits, veggies, nuts, and some turkey. (about 1200 calories). I have 4 hours, so I will probably eat again inside that window. if the worst should happen, someone please contact my oldest brother and tell him it was his fault.

I have been on Weight Watchers since the beginning of November last year and so far have lost 8%(18lbs) of my previous body weight. My experience is that it basically comes down to calorie counting and exercise. Exercise on it's own does not seem to be enough, I have tried that before. So five times a week I do 32 minutes of interval training - 30 second high resistance sprints followed by 4 minute recovery periods on my home exercise bike. The calorie counting part is fairly easy and eating a vegetarian diet means that I never really feel hungry. The good part of what I have been doing is that there is weekly feedback where when I get on the scales I can see how much weight I have lost. For what it is worth my advice is to be clear on your goals(make them achievable) and how you measure if you have reached your goals - and good luck ;)

Have you tried Intermittent fasting? An overview can be found at the lean gains site; http://www.leangains.com/2008/06/sure-fire-fat-loss.html With a helpful guide here; http://www.leangains.com/2010/04/leangains-guide.html This guys blog is also helpful http://lifedestiny.net/intermittent-fasting-eat-whatever-whenever-to-lose-weight From a personal point of view, I’ve lost about 10-12 pounds of fat over the last 2 months, without loosing any well earned muscle. I didn’t have to bother with loads of cardio and I had the occasionally brake from it at weekends. I admit it’s quite tough the first few days, but you get used to it and if anything will feel better for it.

Exactly right. It doesn't matter how you go about it, I always see it coming down to calories in vs calories out. Even the diets that are low carb, only this or that, shake based, etc.. all seem to be another way to (without effort) reduce your calories. It's math in the end.

copy that. I'm not exactly new to this. The intention is to lose body fat without losing weight. I don't mind a little weight loss, but I'm not actively cutting. I thought this would be a fun way to experiment with something I was curious about, since I'm still learning this part of things. I was very efficient at manipulating my body before, and I know I can diet to lose weight.

You mean this guy?[^] I'm not technically on the warrior diet. I have some whey protein through the day if necessary but nothing else.

That is pretty much exactly what I'm looking for.

Cardio is a normal part of my routine. I don't consider my cardio "loads" but compared to body builders I interact with I do "too much". I just eat more, so it didn't seem to cause an issue with bulking.

That's the guy! The best thing about IF is you get to cram yourself full of food for 8 hours. It really depends what your goals are, and end of the day it boils down to calories in Vs calories out for bulk and cutting. Did you work out your BMR and stuff like that? There are plenty of calculators out there to work it out.

Yes. I've quite successfully changed my life already. I learned about dieting, calories, BMI and BMR, etc. Now I just use the loseit app to simplify my journal, and I exercise every day. I lost 105 lbs from the end of Feb to the beginning of Nov, and then gained back 30 on purpose. I'm now happy with my weight for now, but I want to lose body fat. I'll bulk again after, because I still want to get bigger :D
