Hi, Came across an article about ShivaLinga. Is it just a symbol or more. Could it be a power source or compact but highly efficient weapon, which needs to be kept cool. Nuclear decay seems to generate lot of heat and for this reason depleted rods needs to be kept submerged in water for a very long period. Any thoughts.

The following item in the reference caught my attention: "Shiva Linga speaks to the devotee in the unmistakable language of silence" I will reply to my own post with the inspirational message that sentence has wrought.

"The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits." - Albert Einstein

"As far as we know, our computer has never had an undetected error." - Weisert

This it the wrong forum, I just wonder if you did want to post it here. This forum is for "Weird and Wonderful" programming stuff. What you have here is certainly weird, it looks lie nothing more than a stone sex toy or possibly a highly stylised penis penetrating an extremely stylised, well ladypart. It doesn't look like an efficient weapon to me, it is too compact for one thing.

Dear Keith can you please show little respect in here. Though it might be posted in wrong forum but comparing a sacred devotional thing (though for some communities) with a sex toy is really unnecessary.

Do not go where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

Where do you get off telling me what to do? The right to free speech is more important the the right to not be offended, and it simply does look like a sex toy. In fact, when I first opened the article I thought it was a sex toy. I'm not commenting further as this will go downhill very quickly and we will never agree.

Why? The whole point to a free exchange of ideas in a public forum is that people express what they really think, not to censor their thoughts and words by what someone else may not agree with. Don't be so sensitive about stuff like this.

                            I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.

Fine. :sigh: It always cracks me up to see someone essentially tell someone else, "Don't you dare tell me what to do. I have free speech." The irony always kills me. I doubt you meant that but it could be viewed by some that way. :)

Why? The whole point to a free exchange of ideas in a public forum is that people express what they really think, not to censor their thoughts and words by what someone else may not agree with. Don't be so sensitive about stuff like this.

                                      I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.

Agreed. Anyone who cares what strangers on a public forum say need to reevaluate their priorities.

Yeh, the irony isn't lost on me either, a bit like liberal opposition to extremist groups. I don't have problem him getting upset I what I said or expressing his view, more the expectation that I should modify my behaviour to suit.
