Do you know that bit in the end credit music of Porridge that fits 'Ooh 'ave a banana'. It fits quite well with 'Shoot Abu Qatada' Personally I would shoot him for his appalling grammar. A Qwithout a U is ugly and demeans our beautiful language.

Apologies, though I did suspect this was a sockpuppet for that if you get my drift.

I almost agree with you except that in this case it is Anglicised Arabic letter.

Totally irrelevant point here, but a u it would make his name incorrect even katadeh would be closer, but the original Arabic the is a distinction between a [hard] q and a [relatively soft] k, as evidenced by qalb (heart) and kalb (dog). Very important to get the right pronunciation when whispering sweet nothings into the ear of an Arab lady.

*shrug* so what? Innocent until proven guilty is one of the few things that makes a fundamental difference between us and them. Not taking away the dignity of the guilty is another. To put it a bit differently: he has moments he enjoys and moments that suck. There's probably someone he loves. There's some favorite food of his. There are jokes he laughs about, and jokes he finds nasty. This doesn't imply he can't be an asshole still, or dangerous, destructive, or this world might be better without him. But that does not unperson him. I am not going to abolish civilization just to save a penny.
