There are numerous top brands we are fond of.. McD, KFC,Subway...and the list goes on. But have you ever noticed why are we so much addicted to them? I have researched about it..and found some realy shocking results. Also what these companies do in advertising , to get in depth of our minds. Should i share these researches..or keep it to myself. I am in doubt. Will people like this type of thing? Please comment..
Thanks for your viewpoints developers(love you for that <3), and some people those who are not looking happy is due to the fact i wanted an answer(yes or no) from them , and they wanted debates for any random thing they see somebody saying in the discussion. I wasn't able to clear that, as i am middle of an idea myself(in doubt as i said initialy). Still i enjoyed talking to you people(surely some of you haven't) and gained something from it...thanks a ton.. :)
The world is short of ideas...
The real question is if those brands are present in Budapest...
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason? Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful? --Zachris Topelius Training a telescope on one’s own belly button will only reveal lint. You like that? You go right on staring at it. I prefer looking at galaxies. -- Sarah Hoyt

Exactly, apple has set some standards of people who are using it. Standards in monitory and technological terms. The person having mac os pretends to be an intellect over people using windows. And girls with iphone5 have kept it for showing off(personal experience :)).In both the cases they are 20,000 miles away from its actual benificial technology provided by apple. And people(not all of us) wonder why the companies are spending a big part of their profit advertising. And i bet people reading my blog.. will have that reason mr christopher... :) of what they have. So should i come up something is that..please answer..
Or people just like them more. Not everything is a conspiracy. And advertising isn't nearly as effective as you think, which is why they spend so much money on it.
-
First of all thanks...that you shared your views. But in that case we are thinking like a drug addict, the drug provides "peace of mind" to the consumer, but that doesn't means that he should continue consuming it believing that he doesn't know about its evil effects. Similarly, the brands are making us addicted to their food. In short, i just wan't to broadcast that brands hide..by their false advertising. Is that such a bad idea..doing that!!
People make choices. Advertising influences those choices. To blame "addiction" is a bullshit excuse for pretending you have no self-control. The cold reality is that people buy things you don't approve up because they genuinely enjoy them. The product marketing world is replete with examples of products which had heavy advertising and did everything "right" except make a product customers wanted to buy (or continue buying.) Ever heard of New Coke?

Oh please don't tell me about the self-control, because from centuries we know that we don't have any control over our sub-conscience, and marketing companies take advantage of that. They mention the most important stuff, in the places where we never look in the product. So my question is why not blog about the tactics that they use.. so that the next time others become smarter in making choices.. what they want.

You are completely full of shit. I've no doubt your "research" is crap written by loons who also believe every conspiracy theory that comes along. The bottom line is that you simply cannot market something successfully over time that people don't want. Period. Again, New Coke, Apple Newton, Crystal Pepsi, McDonald's Arch Deluxe Burger.... The list is very long. Advertising budgets are big precisely because it's really hard to convince people to buy your stuff, no matter what psychological tricks you use. Moreover, simply getting early sales doesn't guarantee continued sales. This is reality.

I don't want your damn link. I'm well read on advertising and marketing. It appears you've substituted real analysis for pop-analysis (probably including theories about subliminal advertising, most of which have long been debunked in controlled experimentation.)

That's just idiotic. You may want to hire a proofreader and actually learn to write.

Dude you ll not believe, i am into this from 2 years... asking the consumers coming to shop irrelevant questions(relevant for me).. even kicked off many times..but finally got what i wanted..and the end as i quoted i was shocked. I will not tell about something different. I will probably tell that what it really, and how the brands potray the same thing in sugar coated structure. My aim is to put the thing as it is.. I have enuf technical stuff to prove that my friend.. :)
