Why would you use it in anger? That would seem counterproductive.

It's the kind of web site that starts you off at a slow boil, and works you up to full blown anger pretty quickly. For example: The "current page" status is stored in cookies, but takes no account of the session - so if you open the "fantasy" books and then the "science fiction" books in a different tab, "Next page" on the "fantasy" tab takes you to Sci-fi page two. Right clicking on a book link and "open in a new tab" opens the text "javascript:subform('item#9780141918853-6','')" rather than the book itself. And so on...it's as if the site was constructed by the Forces of Evil to raise the level of annoyance in the world.

Three books I'm waiting to be released, each one the third in a trilogy. 1. Emperor of Thorns (The Broken Empire #3) by Mark Lawrence. 2. Day Three: The Doors of Stone by Patrick Rothfuss 3. The Blood Mirror (Lightbringer #3) by Brent Weeks In the mean time I think I'll settle with the "Shadow's Mastet (Shadow's Son Trilogy) by Jon Sprunk (Sprunk not spunk, you dirty sods).

A Direct X book for Windows 8 (not WinRT, normal Windows 8, the most recent Direct X book I have found is for Windows 7, and none of the examples work on 8)!

My local library does loan eBooks in ePub format, but the website is so poor that I haven't used it in anger yet.

I don’t think there is a software developer who doesn’t know what is “O'Reilly”. I just don’t like most of their "books". Or should I say “technical references”.

No really, his "You lost me there" made me feel he wasn't aware of OReilly Press. /ravi

Books, books...oh yes, I had one of them once. Couldn't find the "On" button, and it didn't seem to be voice activated either.
