What’s wrong with the laptop vendors? I checked newegg, amazon, dell and no laptops with SSD. At least not any within the normal price range. The small SSDs start from as match as 150 bucks, why they don't put them in the laptops. Why? Only the netbooks and touchpads are with SSD. But I want computer, not a toy.

http://www.dell.com/us/p/laptops. Click "SSD" on the left. Select other options you want (e.g., Windows 8). The XPS 13 starts at $1,000 and includes a 128GB SSD (though, for longterm work, I wouldn't go less than 256GB). There is another XPS 13 that starts at $1,400 and includes a 256GB SSD (though, for that price, the other specs are pretty unimpressive).

Thanks, I saw the option. Before the same option was available in newegg advance search, but now it doesn't exist anymore. But if I decide to spend over $1000 I’ll go for Alienware laptop(and they are all with SSDs 256 or higher. ), not a conventional one.

The best bet is to buy one with a standard HDD and replace it with an SSD yourself. New gen 256 GB SSD's retail for about $200.
