One of the Windows Live feature to be missed

We are going to be forced into Skype in a few days. The feature in Windows Live I've been using every day is the Email Notification. Unfortunately, it is not available in Skype. I may have to use Gmail as my primary email from now on :( .

You can set gmail to autoforward everything. Just autoforward to your existing address.

Install something like x mail notifier (plug-ins are available for various browsers), or browse freeware sites for something that will do it independently.
