I wanted to, mainly because to get into Windows Azure. However, I've seen that I would have to give M$ my credit card details. Problem: I do not have a credit card.

    cheers Marco Bertschi

Even if you don't have credit card it's fine. I just did with my debit card :) That should work for all.

Having seen some of the entries coming through as articles for moderation, trust me: you would stand a good chance of winning if your idea was to serve pictures of bacon sandwiches to vegetarians. It would be a lot better and more useful than most of the entries so far... :sigh:

Trying to steal them, are you!? Oh all right, I doubt many developers could implement my plan as fast as I can anyway. My main idea is to setup single-click deploy of Umbraco (a CMS) to multiple load balanced web roles in Azure. Some things I'm thinking of incorporating are: responsive design, config transforms, multiple sites within a single web role using Azure, multiple sites within a single web role using Umbraco, and nested virtual applications. I've already done most of that for work/personal projects, so making some articles and such shouldn't be too hard (if I can find the time). :)

You should get that 3-digit number some places want, just in case. You can never be too prepared.

What, you don't like the Bill Gates one? Some of them appear to be nothing more than an early list of thought doodled on a napkin, but as I understand it, that is fine and they can go ahead and expand on the article at will. Soren Madsen

That's right. I think Colin may be trying to pull a fast one on us.

Hi OriginalGriff, Did you happen to see my entry (Azure Animal Adoption Agency)? It's my first article post to Code Project ever (been a lurker for a long time), so I'm wondering how good or bad of a job I did on the contest idea and for the code tip I added about painless Two-way data binding of enumerated properties. If you have some tips I'd like to hear them: http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/583225/Azure-Animal-Adoption-Agent -- roschler
