I have the Allsearch bug. It is trying to access the internet on just about all of my programs. IF ANY HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM AND GOT RID OF IT, Please tell me how to get rid of it. It has infected my 3 mainstream browsers(IE 10, Mozilla, Chrome). I have removed them but still the annoying thing is there. Need help :(

I dont know. All programs are trying to access this ip address 66.228.116.178 . I type this in on a search engine and it gave me a server in texas but could not get any info on the server other than allsearch was there. I reported this site to Microsoft and the browser hi-jacking and hopefully they will let me know how to fix it.

Tried Malwarebytes and removed 12 trojan, worms and 2 virus but Allsearch is still here after 8 1/2 hrs of running malwarebytes. Now what Do I Do??? For me, the only thing left is to format all my drives and start over.

Are you running malwarebytes in Safe Mode? As in, starting your PC in Safe Mode first? How about booting off a clean USB Stick or CD and running a scan over your hard drive that way? Or, remove your hard drive, mount it in a USB caddy or another computer as a slave drive and scan it that way...

It is possible they put an entry into the hosts file to redirect web access to their server, so check your hosts file. http://helpdeskgeek.com/windows-7/windows-7-hosts-file/[^] If you do view/edit the hosts file be very careful with what file you are using. I know at least one virus will make the hosts file hidden/system and create a dummy hosts file with the o changed to a very similar looking character from further up the character set.

I have removed everything. Had to run malwarebytes again just to make sure I had no virus'. I had to run IE a second time after I changed my home page manually again. Viola....Fixed. I want to thank the guy that pointed me in the right direction. THANK YOU VERY MUCH :)
