Is there anyone on CP from the Twin Cities, Minnesota? I'm thinking of putting together a little get together for fun and networking. Anyone interested? -- Where are we going? And why am I in this handbasket?

Nah, the problem with things like that is, there probably wouldn't be that many CPians from that particular area, at least not from the regulars, what we need is a country-wide demographics survey on CP, so we can find out where everyone is within their respective countries, so if 40% of CPians in the US are in CA, any CP-fests will be there, and anyone who isn't will have to wait. Although the idea of CP gatherings would be good, next year I will be in Chicago and possibly NY for a month and may be South Africa in the summer. Depending on the war that is. BUt if anyone in these regions wants to put up with my company over a beer, i'll be happy to help, untill tehn i'm stuck here in the good ol' 'UK of GB'. I may be wrong tho, most of CP-USA could be from that area, i don't know, in which case, hire a stadium :-)

So is england, yet anyone from the UK would be able to come to London, given time and notice, for a CP meeting. Although Liverpool might be a better venue. :-) ;)

Cool, I used to live in Eagan myself, though I've recently moved to the north metro. So, are you up for a gathering? -- Where are we going? And why am I in this handbasket?

I'm not really trying to organize a CP specific gathering, rather just trying to make some new programmer friends in my area. It'd be great to do a CP oriented gathering for, say regional groups (midwest) but I doubt something like that would ever come together. -- Where are we going? And why am I in this handbasket?

It's always tough finding a good time and place but if we can round up a couple of other geeks I'd be interested.

I used to live in Burnsville, then Eagan, and now I live in Apple Valley. I'd be up for a CP get together sometime; let's see how many other Frozen CPians we can bring out of the woodwork..... Chris Richardson C/C++ Include Finder[^]
