Why shouldn't we? I don't see any reason other then looking uncool to pseudo-tech-savvy baboons who are drinking the Kool-Aid.

Yeah, switching email providers is a PITA. Every couple of months my neighbor calls me for some tech support for the ancient thing she's using -- it originally supported dial-up and still has very limited (something like 1000) inbox emails, you have to use their software to connect to it, and it occasionally messes things up. I keep trying to convince her to switch to something more modern and less limiting, but it's a hard sell. Marc

So, I keep my private hotmail logged in all day long. But whenever I need to go to MSDN to access a file or a license key, I have to sign in with my company mail. And that means that I also get logged out from my hotmail (and vice versa for that matter). WHY the #¤&¤/%/%¤# are those two things connected? Why can't I log in with one Live account in Outlook and another in MSDN at the same time? It's not like it's the same application or anything! OK, not the worlds biggest problem, but irritating all the same!

At least you can say you were using Hotmail before it was cool. That's true of all hotmail users. I've been using for over a decade now with little to no problem.

Use two different browsers. Since they don't share cookies, they shouldn't interact. Chrome and FireFox for example.

Just start another browser session i.e. fire up a chrome incognito window, that should also work.

I tried out Office 365 a bit ago.. To install a sharepoint app I had to log in with a live account. Why the f*** do I need a live account when I'm logged in with a Office365 account?? (Well, you just need it to get it from the store. afterwards you have to login to Office365 again!)

Ugh. No support for forwarding to a new account or 3rd party pop access? Having those made switching from my legacy accounts to gmail relatively painless; and if Google ever manages to infuriate me enough to leave them hopping to the outlook.com address I squatted on a few days after the service came out will be trivial as well.

Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful? --Zachris Topelius Training a telescope on one’s own belly button will only reveal lint. You like that? You go right on staring at it. I prefer looking at galaxies. -- Sarah Hoyt

And someone else will complain about being forced to use the same login for multiple unconnected actions.
