Not long long enough. Judge summed up "There is no doubt you had developed a sexual interest in Tia. You were looking out for pornographic images of pre-teen girls and incest." Continued "She was a sparky girl, full of life. You took that life from her...You further degraded that girl by photographing her in that dreadful position. Also hiding body in loft" Auntie[^] I know one shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but when I first saw him on TV I said to Michelle, "That bastard did it" And he looks like what he is, a thick, uneducated, loser pervert. 38 years before parole eligibility, I hope he doesn't serve a month.

I'd say it's 37 years 364 days too long. Let him out tomorrow and see what happens.
Well I think the judge played a blinder. He was not given the whole life tariff because the judge says he could not be sure that the motive was sexual. That means he is not a 'Vulnerable Prisoner'. So, straight into General Population of Wormwood Scrubs. He will be sharing a cell with a bigger man than him, and who knows, after a few weeks of being someone's bitch and passed around, shanked and scalded, with piss in his tea and shit in his food, he may decide to kill himself. It wouldn't be much of a loss.

If the prison system is the same there as it is here he will be in hell for 38 ears if he lives that long. They don't take kindly to child molesters and perverts.

The BBC has been nicknamed Auntie in the UK for a very long time, but it now sounds rather archaic.

It's been called that for years "Auntie Beeb". See here[^], short form: nobody knows exactly why, but my guess is it does/did come across as well-to-do and semi-condescending aunt.

No, unfortunately yours is rather more repressive and unpleasant penal system than ours; ours is pretty free and easy, with TVs in cells, easy access to drugs and so on. "Human rights" and all that. But the inmates aren't fond of child molesters either, so we can hope...

I also had doubts about him when he first appeared on TV appealing for her to come home. I'm sure there will be other cons doing long sentences with nothing to lose who won't mind having a pop at him. Somewhere inside prison more specific justice will be meted out to him. What I'd like to know is how the police failed to find her body after searching the loft several times?

It dates back to at least the 1920's. The two most popular reasons are the adage that "Aunty knows best" and an early show Aunty Aggie of the BBC[^]

Evil he is - no question there. But I do not want justice to be carried out in my name by people who have been locked up as violent thugs.
Vigilante justice less of an evil than no justice at all. Letting that sort of scum continue to foul the air we breathe is the greater evil.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason? Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful? --Zachris Topelius Training a telescope on one’s own belly button will only reveal lint. Wrong forum but here goes; If killing is wrong then killing is wrong. You cannot say it is wrong for you to kill but ok for us. Be it vigilantly justice or death penalty. Death Penalty does not act as a greater deterrent, it does not save money, it does not provide a greater punishment. Death penalty is all about revenge. It is about making people feel better after a crime, and it rarely makes anyone directly effected by a crime feel better afterwards, even if they thought it might beforehand. Death penalty is always wrong IMHO.

Because you can trust your Auntie. Think of her as a matronly, comfortably-proportioned lady whose wisdom is respected and who can look at you over her pince-nez glasses and whose bouncy bosom stirs memories of stew with dumplings and apple pies and thick custard. Think of her as somebody who farts with authority. That is Auntie.

And if the cons get their way, they will be allowed to vote in parliamentary elections. I believe that arse-wipe Ian Huntley was set upon in prison. They get to them sooner or later.

That is just so stupid! I mean: what ward do they vote in? The ward where the prison is? The ward where the court they were sentenced in is? Or the ward they were living in when they committed the crime? And are MPs supposed to canvas in prisons? On second thoughts, that could be fun to watch, from a safe distance...
