Any reason I should click on what appears (based on the URL) to be a blog post by you?

I do not understand the question. Are we not allowed to post links to our own blog posts? If this is not allowed, please tell me and I will remove the post.

It's generally viewed as self advertisement, which is perceived much of the time as sleazy. However, nothing wrong with a little sleaziness so long as it's actually interesting. If you were to edit your post with a quick sentence or two explaining why we'd want to click that link, then perhaps we might be more willing to do so. Otherwise, I'm not going to increase your hit count just to see if your post might be interesting.

Thank you for your clarification. I will try to immediately erase my post and everything about it from CodeProject. Thank you, again.

Sure. You can start by editing your post and just saying ("removed content"). Also, messages cannot be deleted if there are replies to them. So if I delete my reply message, you can delete yours, then I can delete mine, then you can delete your original post. I don't know if that's actually been tried before, but if you want to give it a try I'll keep an eye on the Lounge and be ready to delete mine. I will start by deleting this message (you should get it in an email anyway, so you'll still be able to read it).

We were going for a delete cascade (you can't fully delete a message that has replies), but the OP deleted one of the replies prematurely, so the evidence of deleted replies is still there. Thread starter messages can't be deleted at all if there are replies.

Please do so! Go for a delete cascade, because the system does not let me delete my message.

Sorry, it can no longer be done, since you deleted one of your messages before I deleted my reply to it.

One time I had deleted a message I had posted. I then decided I actually wanted keep the message and was able to revive it using Edit Post. However, another time I tried to do the same thing, it failed. I don't know if there is a time factor and I don't remember if the message I managed to revive had replies to it, but it's something for you to play around with. Soren Madsen

Just tried, and couldn't restore my deleted message. Interestingly, when I deleted my message it was immediately gone on Web01, but stuck around for a while on Web04. Guess they have some cache lag for deletions.

They have a cache lag for everything - Supposedly caused by the hamster's short legs. In fact, at least 30 % of the hamsters are running around between the servers to transmit data between them, but the short legs prevent them from running around fast enough to avoid the cache lag.
