I'm crazy about my family. Tech doesn't get the same level of interest.

I was brought up to respect my elders. I don't respect many people nowadays.

I made copper from malachite once. I even made the charcoal myself. One day I hope to find some tin ore and thus discover bronze.

It just happens , say in your case while making copper. You know in villages they do not wonder of making charcoal because it's their daily routine when they burn some wood for their food or bath. Thanks,

I'm good at working with wood, metals and plastics. But what I really, really, really want is a 3D printer! One that could print upto 3ft (90cm) cubic dimension. (tiredness yesterday - cm/inches doh!) Has to be the technology which will create the next big revolution. On the flip side, it will also create huge waste/recycling problems for the planet.

Actually, if you burn wood in the presence of air, you don't get charcoal, you get ash (mostly). Charcoal has to be made in an oxygen-restricted environment otherwise the carbon in the wood (which is the major constituent of charcoal and the stuff you burn/use later) is burned off. Unless they are making inefficient fires of course, where the some of the wood doesn't have access to oxygen but does get heated.

Nothing worthwhile has been created since the mid-90s.

                          What were the results?

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results. "Run it again, must have been a glitch, it was working on my box..."
