Topeka, KS - High school sophomore Brett Tyson was suspended today after teachers learned he may be using PHP. "A teacher overheard him say that he was using PHP, and as part of our Zero-Tolerance policy against drug use, he was immediately suspended. No questions asked," said Principal Clyde Thurlow. "We're not quite sure what PHP is, but we suspect it may be a derivative of PCP, or maybe a new designer drug like GHB." Parents are frightened by the discovery of this new menace in their children's school, and are demanding the school do something. "We heard that he found out about PHP at school on the internet. There may even be a PHP web ring operating on school grounds," said irate parent Carol Blessing. "School is supposed to be teaching our kids how to read and write. Not about dangerous drugs like PHP." -- Chatai. Yana ra Yakana ro futisha ta?

I think it's a hoax too. I got it over ICQ. I thought it was funny, so I thought I'd share it :) -- Chatai. Yana ra Yakana ro futisha ta?

We have banned PHP in the workplace as well. It leads to dellusions of grandeur and Better Than Thou attitudes. The drug even fools the user into thinking they are following the Light Path. They also start to talk strangely referring to the el337 or something, I can never get it right, not a PHP user. Good post Jorgen. :)

As usefull as PHP can be, I can't help remembering the reason I dropped Perl when I open up a nicely formatted PHP document. :)

Is it possible that PHP is the bastard child of ASP and Perl/CGI? :~ It resembles Perl, but has the plastic toy feeling of VBScript. :) C#/ASP.NET is perhaps the best thing Microsoft has ever delivered since sliced bread! I hope I'll never have to touch any ASP/Perl/PHP/JSP/whatever again. :) Paul Watson wrote: Good post Jorgen Thanks Paul. I try to do my best :) -- Chatai. Yana ra Yakana ro futisha ta?
